For two decades, Ubisoft RedLynx has created iconic games with a collective global reach of over 100 million players, with releases across Console, PC and Mobile. Part of this success story comes from the fostering of new industry talent, every year they hire promising individuals through their Graduate Program.
Acquired by French publishing giant Ubisoft in 2011, the Helsinki based studio has garnered a reputation as an agile working environment that’s bursting with personality and creativity. Best known for the Trials franchise, the studio recently earned additional notoriety due to the successful launch of its South Park: Phone Destroyer mobile game, cementing the studio as a true multiplatform powerhouse.
"A typical day can start with the Creative Director blasting T-shirts across the studio with a huge compressed-air cannon." Tiina Mäkelä - project coordinator, 26, a Graduate program recruit. If you’re a motivated and talented graduate, you can work your way up in the industry, specialising in Project Management or Programming during the two-year Graduate Program.
"I've always been crazy about games and wanted to work in the business", explains Mäkelä,"This is the only program of its kind in Finland." Graduates like Mäkelä can join the team and be supported and mentored by more senior team members. The studio culture is about giving everyone a creative voice, allowing fresh talent with new perspectives and high ambition to be heard and supported.
